Minna no Nihongo 1-2 are fairly equivalent to Genki 1-2. They may cover a little more ground. Tobira's main book is pretty good. It doesn't just teach you grammar, it also teaches you spoken language. Good thing to at least read through once. However, Tobira's workbooks both suck. The grammar workbook's problems are awful, really open-ended.
